About the Role
This is a remote, commission-based Sales Associate role based in California. The Sales Associate will identify prospective clients, conduct needs assessments, and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options. Responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline, following up on leads, and closing new business while ensuring a positive and professional customer experience. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams on policy administration and meeting individual and team sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new clients through outreach, referrals, and marketing initiatives.
- Conduct needs assessments and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through close.
- Follow up with leads promptly and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
- Coordinate with internal teams on policy administration and onboarding.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Participate in ongoing product and sales training sessions.
- Contribute to local outreach and marketing initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or Green Card is required.
- Must be based in California.
- Strong communication skills — clear verbal and written interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Solid customer service skills, with the ability to build trust, handle questions, and resolve concerns.
- Proven sales skills including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing in a target-driven environment.
- Ability to support peers through training and coaching when needed.
- Sales management-related skills: pipeline management, basic forecasting, and adherence to processes.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or a related field is beneficial.
- Proficiency with sales tools, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have
- Professional insurance licenses (or willingness to obtain them).
- Skills in marketing using automation tools.
Onboarding
Admitted candidates will receive a one-week training program to get familiar with our sales pipeline and the actual duties of the position.
